Did you know
that HP's LaserJets are far more effective from a power consumption
perspective delivering fast first page out times from PowerSave.
Most competitors can only achieve
their claimed FPO times when their PowerSave feature is switched
off, i.e. fuser is kept hot. So their stats are completely misleading
as they claim low power consumption in standby, and in the same
document claim FPO's of 7 or 8 seconds, but fail to specify what
the FPO is from standby/PowerSave.
HP's
FPO's are unaffected by PowerSave thanks to instant
on fuser technology.
On bench testing we have seen FPO's on competitive devices to be
30-45 seconds from PowerSave mode, in which time our equivalent LaserJet
has completed the same 30 page print job.
The un-usability
of the competition's PowerSave feature results in between 50-150%
more power consumption on competitive devices. This alone will
lead to increased electricity consumption of around £30-£50
per year per device plus additional energy required on air conditioning
from the increased heat output of each device.
